Atlanta GA, January 15, 2012 – Local musicians No Parachute and Sailing to Denver announce “Concert for Callie,” a live performance to benefit three year-old Callie Cheer of Smyrna, who is currently undergoing her last round of chemotherapy for the treatment of Acute Myeloid Leukemia. The event will take place at 9 p.m. at Tavern 99 on East Andrews in Buckhead and was organized by Callie’s step-father, Ryan Burton & Caled Eleman, who plays in No Parachute. The minimum donation is $10 and 100% of proceeds will benefit CURE Childhood Cancer, a local non-profit dedicated to conquering childhood cancer through funding targeted research and through support of patients and their families.

“We have been overwhelmed by the support of our community throughout Callie’s diagnosis and treatment,” said Mr. Burton.

“When Caled Eleman and the guys from No Parachute approached me about hosting a concert to benefit CURE to support Callie and those like her, I was completely blown away. We can’t thank them and Tavern 99 enough for their support of our family and this wonderful cause.”
